According to his mother, Wactor was with a colleague when they encountered three individuals attempting to steal a part from his car. Despite not resisting or intervening, Wactor was shot by the thieves before they fled the scene. His mother described him as a "loving young man" whose untimely passing has left an immense void in their family.

Rushed to the hospital, Wactor was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. While police have yet to release descriptions of the suspects, Wactor's mother holds onto hope for justice.

During his tenure on "General Hospital," Wactor portrayed Brando Corbin, who was married to the character Sasha. His journey with the show spanned from 2020 to 2022, concluding with a dramatic exit where his character met his demise.
